What Is ANKI?

ANKI is a flashcard system built around spaced repetition. It helps you review passages just before you would normally forget them, which makes it a strong fit for Scripture memory.

We recommend it because it is flexible, dependable, and easy to use with the decks provided on the set pages.

Get ANKI

Desktop: Download the official Windows, Mac, or Linux app from apps.ankiweb.net.

Android: Use AnkiDroid on Google Play.

iPhone and iPad: The official app is AnkiMobile. It is a paid app, and we encourage people to buy it if they can because it is excellent and the developer deserves support.

Free iOS option: If you do not want to buy the iOS app yet, you can still use AnkiWeb in Safari as a free alternative.

Import Vitamin J Decks

1. Open one of the set pages and download the `.apkg` deck provided for that set.

2. On desktop, open ANKI and either double-click the downloaded file or use File > Import.

3. On mobile, download the deck to your device and open it from your Files or Downloads app, or use the import option inside your ANKI app if available.

4. If you use more than one device, create a free AnkiWeb account so your reviews can sync across devices.

5. If you want more detail, the official manual explains packaged deck imports here: Importing Packaged Decks.

Use ANKI For Spaced Repetition

Songs help get the words into your mind, and ANKI helps keep them there over time.

The two work well together: use the songs for short-term saturation, then use ANKI to keep older passages fresh.

If a song covers more verses than a set is focused on, the ANKI cards can stay focused on the set verses only.

If you would rather stay offline or prefer something physical, we also provide printable options so you can make paper flashcards instead.
